What you will do
- Build interactions on the 2D canvas: drawing walls, dragging furniture, snapping and handles.
- Build the chrome around the plan: the tool dock, panels, the selection card and phone bottom sheets.
- Keep the editor accessible: keyboard shortcuts, focus and names for screen readers.
- Keep the first load small with code splitting, lazy features and prerendered public pages.
- Cover flows with Playwright tests and review layouts at desktop and phone widths.
What you bring
- Several years of React and TypeScript in production.
- Built a canvas- or SVG-based editor, or another direct-manipulation interface.
- Strong CSS and responsive layout.
- Care for accessibility and performance.
Nice to have
- Konva or another canvas library.
- Stores with undo and redo.
- Internationalisation.
- Design sense: you can work from a rough sketch.
About FloorGen
FloorGen is a free floor plan, 3D and drawings studio in the browser, with FloorGen AI in the editor and an MCP server so the AI apps people already use can edit the plan with them.
