What you can plan with FloorGen

One free editor, from a whole house to a single bathroom, a deck or an office. Pick the job you have: each page shows how to do it in FloorGen, the sizes that matter, a template to start from and what the editor does not do.

By who you are

The same jobs look different for a homeowner and for an architect. The audience pages say which parts of FloorGen matter for your work: homeowners, renters, interior designers, architects, builders, teachers and students and AI agents.

What every project gets

  • Free, with no sign-up to start and no card. Plans save in your browser; signing in adds cloud sync.
  • Real dimensions in feet and inches or metres, with room areas that update as you draw.
  • 3D as you draw: orbit, dollhouse and walk. With a free account, record a walkthrough video to share.
  • Code profiles for several countries, as a design aid: they check sizes and clearances, they do not approve a plan.
  • Home calculators for paint, tile, flooring and more, and a gallery of plans to start from.

Questions

Is every use case free?
Yes. Every page here opens the same free editor. Exports and the AI usually need a free sign-in.
My project is not listed. Can I still plan it?
Probably. The editor draws any walls, rooms and openings, and the library has furniture and fixtures for homes, offices, garages and outdoor spaces; start from an empty plan.
Can I start from a plan I already have?
Yes. Trace an image or PDF of it and accept the walls FloorGen suggests.
