Where to start
If you are new to FloorGen, open a template and change it: every plan, including the floor plan gallery, opens in the browser without an account and saves in that browser. How to draw a floor plan covers the editor from a blank page.
If you want an AI app to work on your plans, sign in so your projects sync, then follow the MCP server reference. The server has the same engine and the same checks as the editor, so what an agent draws is an ordinary plan you can open, measure and undo.
For quick numbers without a plan, the calculators work out square footage, flooring boxes and paint.
Questions
Where is the editor's own help?
In the editor, ? opens the keyboard shortcuts, and the empty canvas offers the ways to start: draw a room, draw walls, trace an image or use a template. These docs cover what the editor cannot show in place: setup for AI apps, and longer guides.
Do I need an account to use FloorGen?
No, to draw, view in 3D and export. A free account (Google sign-in) adds cloud sync, FloorGen AI and the MCP connection for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.
How do I report a problem or ask a question?
Use the contact page; say which browser you use and, for a plan problem, attach the project file from Export → Project file.
