Edit together live

Everyone on a shared project can have it open at once. Each edit reaches the others within moments, you see who is there and what they have selected, and Undo takes back only your own changes.
See who is here
- Avatars in the top bar show who else has the project open. Hover them to read the names, for example “Also here: Ben, Ana, Cara and 2 others”.
- On the 2D plan, what each person has selected is outlined in their colour with their name.
- On a phone the top bar shows one avatar with a count, and the account menu says who is here.
How edits come together
Each change you make is sent on its own, so two people can work on different rooms, or different properties of the same wall, without getting in each other’s way. A short toast such as “Ana changed this project.” tells you when someone else’s change arrives.
When someone changes the same thing you were editing, FloorGen shows their version and keeps yours in Versions. The toast offers Keep mine, which saves your version as a restore point in Version history… instead of writing over their change.
Undo on a shared project
- ⌘Z undoes only your own steps. Changes from other people, and from connected agents, are not on your undo list.
- If someone else changed the same thing after you, FloorGen will not undo over them. A toast says so, and earlier steps can still be undone.
- To take back an agent’s change, use Revert in Activity. See Activity and revert.
Viewers
Someone with Can view sees a View only chip where Undo and Redo usually are. The tool dock is hidden and properties are read-only. If the owner changes their role while the project is open, a toast says “The owner made you a viewer: this project is view only now.” or “You can edit this project now.”
Questions
What if I lose my connection?
Keep working. Your edits wait and go up when the connection comes back. Edits from others are merged in then.
Where did my version go after a clash?
It is a restore point in Version history…, in the account menu at the top right. Restore it from there if you need it.
Can a viewer export the plan?
Yes. Exports run in the browser, so a viewer can export what they can see, though they cannot change it.
