Limits and errors

Updated 4 min readNeeds a free account

By default a free account can send FloorGen AI 30 messages an hour and 200 a day. The panel’s footer shows how many are left this hour, and every error card says what to do next. Your draft is kept.

Default limits

FloorGen AI limits for a signed-in account, by default. Admins can change them per plan.
LimitDefault
Messages30 an hour and 200 a day
AI tokens2,000,000 a day: what the model reads and writes, with text it reads again from its cache counted at 10 %
Message lengthUp to 4,000 characters
ImagesUp to 4 per message: PNG, JPEG, WebP or HEIC
One replyAbout 8 minutes of work; then it stops and offers Continue
Replies at onceOne running reply per person
ChatsKept for 180 days after you last use them
Remembered preferencesUp to 20 kept per project, counting the ones kept for all your projects. Each message sends the newest that fit in about 1 KB.

The footer reads, for example, 5 left this hour; hover it to see the messages left today and when they reset. Its dot is green above 5, amber at 5 or fewer and red at none. The footer also says Edits are undoable steps, the units replies use (ft-in or m) and the ⌘I key. My plan on the projects page shows AI messages today and AI tokens today. See Plans, limits and codes.

The progress line

While a reply runs, a line under it shows what FloorGen AI is doing, such as Thinking…, how long it has been working and which step it is on.

Locked FloorGen AI

  • By default, a guest’s Ask FloorGen AI button shows a lock (on a phone, a round button with a lock). Sign in free; your guest projects come with you.
  • If your plan does not include it, the card says FloorGen AI is not in your plan.

Questions

Does an error undo the changes already made?

No. Steps that finished before the error stay on the plan and can still be undone.

When do the daily limits reset?

Daily limits reset at midnight UTC. The footer’s tooltip shows the reset time in your own clock.

Do stopped or failed replies count?

Yes. Each message you send counts toward the hourly and daily limits.
