Walk through your plan

Walk puts you inside the plan at eye height, so you can check sight lines, door swings and how big a room feels.

Walk settings

Walk settings has three tabs: Move, Look and Screen. Changes apply at once and are Saved in this browser. Reset puts every walk setting back to its default. On a touch screen the panel opens as a sheet over the bottom of the view, and some rows change, as the table says.

Doors while you walk

Hinged doors all stand open while you walk. On a touch screen, tap a door within 3 m of you to swing it shut, and tap again to open it. With a mouse and keyboard the doors stay open: a click while you walk is not aimed at anything. With Bump into walls and furniture on, a shut door stops you. The doors open again when you leave Walk.

Ride a lift

Step into a lift cabin and the Lift panel opens on the right with its floors. Pick a floor there, or use the keys it lists. See Ride a lift in 3D.

On a phone or tablet

Drag the stick to move and drag anywhere else to look. Push the stick to its edge to run. Tap a door to swing it. Joystick size and Joystick side under Screen in Walk settings fit the stick to your hand.
