Tour of the editor

The plan fills the window and the controls float over it: a slim top bar, the plan summary at the top left, the views at the top right, panels on the left, the tool dock at the bottom and zoom at the bottom right. Anything you can’t find is in the command palette (⌘K).

Around the screen

  6. Step 6: Share

Share invites people to view or edit the project. See Share a project.

  7. Step 7: Export

As a guest it also offers Sign in or create a free account…, and on a phone it holds Share, Plan summary and View options too. A dot on the avatar means agents made edits you haven’t seen yet.

  9. Step 9: Switch the view

Show the 2D plan, Split (plan and 3D side by side), 3D or Elevations. Press 2, 3 or 4 to switch, and ` to cycle through 2D, Split and 3D.

  10. Step 10: View options

View opens snap, the grid, wall dimensions, rulers, units, plan style and theme. See View options and plan styles.

  11. Step 11: The plan summary

The chip at the top left adds up the rooms, for example 2366.1 ft² · 13 rooms. Click it for the room table, the floor’s Storey height, the building summary, sections, elevations and surfaces.

  12. Step 12: Panels on the left

The rail opens one panel at a time: Outline, Library, Finishes, Floors and Review. Press its button again, or Esc, to close it.

  13. Step 13: The tool dock

Select, Room, Wall, Door & window, Furniture, Measure and More tools sit at the bottom centre. Room, Wall, Door & window and Measure open their options above the dock.

  14. Step 14: Zoom
