Agent safety and undo

FloorGen limits what an agent can break. It refuses unsafe edits and says why, previews big changes, asks you before anything permanent, and saves checkpoints you can go back to.
Refusals
When an agent asks for a change that would leave a broken plan, FloorGen refuses it. The agent gets a reason, the values that are allowed and a hint, and usually tries again. Nothing changes in your plan.
- A wall move that would bring a wall within 10 cm of the parallel wall it faces is refused. The hint says how far it can go.
- A locked door or window never moves. A change that would drag one along is refused, and the reason names it.
Previews
For a big change, an agent can run it as a preview (dry_run) first. A preview reports what would change and saves nothing. Ask the agent to preview before it builds or replaces a lot.
Deleting
- Everyday deletes go to the trash, and the agent can restore them. Emptying the trash is permanent.
- Permanent deletes, clearing a design, emptying the trash, restoring a checkpoint and replacing a floor with a copy need your yes. The agent asks you, and only then repeats the call with a token. The token works once and for 5 minutes.
- A project an agent deletes can be restored for 30 days.
Checkpoints
Unless automatic checkpoints are turned off, for the project or for the agent’s connection, an agent’s first edit of a task (its first on the project, or the first after 30 quiet minutes) saves a checkpoint named “Before <agent> edits”, and a long task saves “During <agent> edits” every 25 changes or 15 minutes. You can roll back to either. Each project keeps the newest 5 task-start checkpoints (shared with FloorGen AI’s turns) and 3 “During” ones, for 30 days. See Activity and revert for how to revert one edit or restore a checkpoint.
When you edit at the same time
An open editor merges agent edits in. If you changed the plan in a tab after the agent last read it, and the agent then edits the same things, FloorGen refuses the edit with a conflict. The agent reads the plan again and retries.
Limits
An agent can ask FloorGen how much of each cap a project has used, and it uses that to avoid going over. The defaults for agent traffic are in Plans, limits and codes.
Questions
Can an agent delete a project without asking me?
Not for good. A permanent delete needs a confirmation you approve, and a project an agent deletes can be restored for 30 days.
An agent says an edit was refused. Is my plan damaged?
No. A refused edit changes nothing. The agent gets the reason and a hint, and can adjust.
How do I stop an agent entirely?
Revoke its key or disconnect the app in Agents & MCP. Access stops at once.
